Kisah, a men’s and children’s ethnic wear brand, has raised Rs. 35.9 crore (US $3.76 million) in its Series A funding round, led by Fireside Ventures, with participation from individual investors.
Fireside Ventures has committed Rs. 34 crore (US $3.56 million) to the round, which has already been infused, while the remaining capital from individual investors is expected to be finalised in the near term.
Following the fundraise, Kisah is projected to achieve a post-money valuation of approximately Rs. 211 crore (US $22.12 million), marking a 70% increase from its previous round. The company had earlier raised Rs. 13 crore (US $1.36 million) from investors including Sagar Daryani, Apoorv Salarpuria, Rahul Todi, Vinod Dugar, and Inflection Point Ventures.
Founded in 2018 by Yash Sarawagi and Yashwi Ladasaria, the Kolkata-based brand focuses on high-fashion ethnic wear targeted at Gen Z and millennial consumers, offering products at accessible price points. The company initially operated through a marketplace-led model and is now shifting towards an omnichannel retail strategy.
On the financial front, Kisah reported a 65% year-on-year increase in revenue to Rs. 41.8 crore (US $4.38 million) in FY ’25, up from Rs. 25.3 crore (US $2.65 million) in FY ’24. Its profit more than doubled to Rs. 2 crore (US $209,000) during the same period, indicating improved operational efficiency alongside revenue growth.
