The Mandhana Retail Ventures Limited (TMRVL) has an exclusive Trademark Licence Agreement with Being Human – Salman Khan Foundation (SKF) and is hoping for the renewal of the agreement after it ends in March 2020. There has been some speculation in the market regarding the same but the company seems to be confident about the renewal.
The pressures of the economic slowdown have hit the retail industry hard and TMRVL is no exception to that. Their share prices have tumbled in the past year and the company has faced losses of approximately Rs. 59 lakh against a profit of Rs. 9 crore, causing the loss of not only cash but also talent including senior members whose financial aspirations were not met.
However, Being Human continues to be the bedrock of the company’s retail structure despite some earlier disagreements on strategies, and the brand has been continuing its successful journey both in domestic and international markets.
“Being Human apparel and merchandise are favourite among millions of fashion consumers. Though the economic slowdown is taking root across the industries, comparatively, the brand has been selling its apparels successfully in India and in several channels across the globe. We are aggressively pursuing growth and widening our geographical reach by targeting the fashion consciousness with a strong value-for-money proposition,” said Manish Mandhana, CEO, TMRVL.
Talking about the relationship between the foundation and Mandhana Industries and the future of their camaraderie, Mandhana had to say, “The Foundation is a very important stakeholder of the Company and our core strength lies in the exclusive deal we have with the Foundation for selling apparels and accessories under the ‘Being Human’ brand. We enjoy a strong relationship with the Foundation and are really optimistic that it will get more deepened in the coming future.”
