Metro Brands Limited, a major Indian footwear retailer, has opened two new stores in Mumbai under its licensing agreement with Foot Locker, a global footwear and streetwear retailer. The stores, located at Sky City Mall in Borivali and Viviana Mall in Thane, represent the latest phase of Foot Locker’s expansion in India in partnership with Metro Brands and Nykaa Fashion, which manages the brand’s digital operations in the country.
The Borivali ssq.ft.tore covers 4,069.83 sq.ft., while the Thane location spans 6,880 sq.ft. Both outlets offer footwear and apparel from global brands including Nike, Adidas Originals, PUMA, New Balance, ASICS, and FILA. Metro Brands stated that the new stores are part of its ongoing effort to increase the brand’s retail presence across India.
Alongside the physical store openings, Nykaa Fashion has launched a dedicated Foot Locker microsite and immersive online experiences on both Nykaa Fashion and Nykaa Man platforms. According to the company, the digital rollout is designed to align with the in-store environment, providing online access to new sneaker releases, style selections, and streetwear collections.
The partnership between Metro Brands, Nykaa Fashion, and Foot Locker is intended to support the growth of sneaker and streetwear retail in India while offering both in-store and digital shopping options for consumers.
