India’s leading fashion e-commerce brand owned by Flipkart, Myntra on Monday announced that it has onboarded Bollywood actress Kiara Advani as its new brand ambassador, aiming to boost its young customer base across tiers.
The online retailer underlined that since consumers from smaller cities and non-metros have recently been noticed taking keen interest in online fashion, leading to these areas fast emerging as key markets, the association with Kiara – being a fashion icon and a trendsetter owing to her choice of film projects – is likely to work in favour of the brand, fortifying its position as a fashion platform.
A statement by Myntra said that the brand is hoping for Kiara to establish a strong connection with the existing shoppers, while also ‘attracting a new set of fashion-forward, digital-savvy, and entertainment-oriented customers from across the nation’.
Speaking on the latest collaboration with Kiara, Myntra’s CEO Amar Nagaram said that given the actress’ mass appeal, it will help the brand expand its ‘footprint into unexplored regions in India’.
Kiara, on her part, commented that Myntra has been instrumental in changing the overall dynamics of online shopping.
The actress will feature in the e-commerce retailer’s new brand campaign.
