In its bid to ensure Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s second term at the centre, his team is working hard with new innovations for the same. It recently came up with a PM Modi’s personal application.
Most recently, the app has sold branded merchandise, captioned ‘NaMo Ahain’, worth Rs 5 crore in the past 3 months.
Currently, the app has sold over Rs 15.75 lakh worth products and is expecting a zoom in sales in the run-up to the Lok Sabha polls, which is expected to take place later this year.
The tech-savvy Prime Minister is aiming to tap into the technology-driven Indian population, in line with his belief that technology will drive the future of India.
Last year on the occasion of PM Modi’s 68th birthday – September 17 — the merchandise was put on sale on the app.
T-shirts were the highest-selling items, which accounted for almost half the total sales so far. Revenue generated from t-shirts, hoodies, caps, keychains, coffee mugs, notebooks and pens so far is around Rs 2.64 crore, Rs 56 lakh, 43 lakh, Rs 37 lakh, 32 lakh and Rs 38 lakh, respectively.
The merchandise is being sold via three main outlets — NaMo App, e-commerce sites Amazon and PayTM, and BJP’s regional offices.
