Benetton India has appointed Prashantt T Aundhkaar as Vice President – Sourcing, marking a new phase in his professional career with the company.
In his new role, Aundhkaar will be responsible for strengthening sourcing strategies, deepening supplier partnerships and improving operational efficiencies to support Benetton India’s growth plans and sourcing capabilities in the country.
Aundhkaar brings extensive experience within the Benetton Group, having previously held senior leadership positions across sourcing, technical and quality assurance functions. Most recently, as Vice President – Technical & Quality Assurance, he played a key role in maintaining global quality standards, enhancing processes and ensuring consistent product quality across the company’s supply base.
Earlier in his career, he was associated with J C Penney Purchasing, where he managed quality and sourcing operations across several regions, including India, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Kenya and Mauritius. His responsibilities included implementing corporate quality standards, leading regional quality assurance teams, managing inspection partners, training teams and driving continuous supplier improvement through data-driven quality metrics.
Aundhkaar has also held leadership and technical roles at TPG Wholesale Private Limited, Intertek, Aditya Birla Retail Limited, Gerber Childrenswear and Levi Strauss & Co. His experience spans quality management, product development, compliance and large-scale apparel operations, providing a strong foundation for his responsibilities at Benetton India.
