As part of its 2016 expansion plan of opening 90 new outlets in different locations, Ross Stores recently unveiled 22 Ross Dress for Less®(‘Ross’) and six dd’s DISCOUNTS® stores across 15 different states in February and March.
The American chain of off-price department stores, headquartered in Dublin, California, plans to open 70 Ross and 20 dd’s DISCOUNTS stores throughout this year.
“These recent openings reflect our ongoing plans to continue building our presence in both existing and newer markets, including the Midwest for Ross, and expansion of dd’s DISCOUNTS,” said Jim Fassio, President and Chief Development Officer. “Ross Dress for Less remains the largest off-price apparel and home fashion chain in the US, with 1,295 locations in 34 states, the District of Columbia and Guam. We continue to identify plenty of domestic growth opportunities ahead for both Ross and dd’s DISCOUNTS, and believe that over the long term, Ross can grow to 2,000 total locations and dd’s DISCOUNTS can become a chain of 500 stores.”
An S&P 500, Fortune 500 and Nasdaq 100 (ROST) company, Ross Stores, Inc made fiscal 2015 revenues of $11.9 billion. Currently, the department store chain operates Ross Dress for Less, the largest off-price apparel and home fashion chain in the United States, in 1,295 locations across 34 states, the District of Columbia and Guam.
It operates 178 dd’s DISCOUNTS in 15 states, featuring more moderately-priced assortment of first-quality, in-season, name brand apparel, accessories, footwear and home fashions for the entire family at savings of 20 to 70 per cent off moderate department and discount store regular prices every day.
