Shopsy, an e-commerce platform focusing on value-driven offerings and associated with Flipkart, announced major achievements from its first Mega Shopping Dhamaka sale held between 16th and 19th May. As per the company’s press release, Shopsy witnessed a 60 per cent increase in new customer acquisitions and a 50 per cent increase in daily demand during this event.
Shopsy’s varied product range, including over 160 million items with complimentary delivery services, attracted a considerable number of first-time users, reckoning for 41 per cent of the total new sign-ups throughout the same period. Kapil Thirani, the head of Shopsy, shared gratitude for the great response, attributing it to the faith and confidence customers have in the platform’s ability to provide affordable shopping options with convincing prices.
The sale saw a heightened interest in categories like T-shirts, sarees, and bedsheets, mainly from consumers in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, with Cuttack, Guwahati, Gorakhpur, Mysore, and Salem emerging as the leading contributors to the increase in demand. Shopsy guaranteed customers timely doorstep delivery within six days, further improving the shopping experience and imprinting confidence among buyers.
In the latest development, Shopsy extended its product offerings by entering into the kids’ category, introducing a varied summer collection around more than 100 verticals.
