Footwear brand Skechers has unveiled its exclusive new jerseys for the Mumbai Indians men’s cricket team after previously launching its jerseys for the women’s team. The jerseys have launched as part of the Skechers branded Mumbai Indians match kits and were designed by Monisha Jaisingh.
“After the positive reception for our women’s reveal last month, we are thrilled to build on our partnership with Mumbai Indians with the men’s kit,” said Skechers Asia Private Limited’s CEO Rahul Vira in a press release.
Skechers claims that the goal of the partnership is to unite the fashion and cricket industries. Reliance Industries is the team’s owner, and Skechers’ partnership with the Mumbai Indians is the brand’s first in Indian cricket.
“The spirit of Mumbai and MI has always been a force to be reckoned with, and it lies in the relentless energy, diversity, undying optimism, the heart and the hard work that drives its favourite team and fans,” said designer Monisha Jaisingh.
