Sneakrz, a multi-brand performance footwear retail concept by Brandman Retail, has opened its first outlet in Guwahati as part of a larger expansion plan. The company said stores in Noida, Mumbai, and Delhi are already under development, with more than 10 additional locations signed across Adani Airports and high-street destinations.
The store format brings together international footwear brands including New Balance, On, Saucony, Puma, Adidas, and Asics. According to founder Kashika Malhotra, the initiative is intended to reflect the growing role of sneakers in Indian culture, both as performance gear and as a fashion choice. Malhotra said sneakers represent a form of self-expression through movement, fashion, and culture, and added that the company aims to create a retail platform that balances a global outlook with an Indian perspective.
India’s sneaker market, valued at approximately Rs. 12,000 crore (US $ 1.36 billion), is growing at over 15% annually, according to industry estimates. Sneakrz plans to open 50 outlets by 2029, targeting both metro and Tier-2 cities, as well as airports and high-street locations. The company has set a goal of operating 10 stores by 2026.
Each store is being designed with references to local culture and materials. The Guwahati outlet incorporates bamboo and other regional elements, while upcoming locations in Mumbai and Delhi will draw inspiration from their respective urban environments.
Brandman Retail, founded in 2021, operates Sneakrz and also manages partnerships with global footwear names such as New Balance, Saucony, Rockport, and On.
