Tata Group’s fashion-focused e-commerce platform, Tata Cliq, has revealed that 57 per cent of its luxury shoppers come from Tier-2 cities. The platform has observed a growing interest in luxury items such as handbags and watches among non-metro consumers.
“57 per cent of Tata Cliq Luxury’s shopping comes from Tier-2 cities,” said Almona Bhatia, Chief Business Development Officer at Tata Cliq and Tata Cliq Luxury, during the India Direct to Customer Summit 2024 in Mumbai. Demand on Tata Cliq for luxury goods includes both new and pre-loved items.
Tata Cliq anticipates significant growth in India’s market for pre-owned luxury goods, with key categories including sneakers, watches, jewellery, fashion, art, and antique furniture. This trend not only offers consumers more affordable access to luxury items but also contributes to waste reduction.
Tata Cliq is the flagship digital commerce initiative of India’s leading conglomerate Tata Group with a strong presence in the fashion, footwear, accessories and luxury categories. It has brands like Brooks Brothers, Hugo Boss, Armani, Coach, Furla, Tumi and Michael Kors on its platform.
