
Looking forward to an optimistic growth, the footwear and apparel brand Woodland expects to double up its sales from Rs. 1,250 to Rs. 2,500 crore by 2025, as a part of their retail expansion plan.
With the annual growth rate of 10 per cent per year, Woodland currently operates around 600 retail stores in about 250 cities. According to the top officials, it plans to add 30 to 40 stores every year.
Woodland follows omni-channel strategy which means that both its online and offline channels are connected. The company derives 12 – 15 per cent of its sales from e-commerce, i.e., its own website and channel partners.
Apart from footwear and apparels, the brand has launched many new product categories such as accessories, bag-packs, etc. Out of the total revenue generated, shoes account for 50 per cent of the sales, Besides, remaining 35 per cent comes from apparels and the other 15 per cent from accessories and other products.
With a separate modus operandi for its online channel, Woodland is now focussing on expanding its customer base in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
