In a major boost to India’s digital commerce ecosystem, Ekart, a top logistics and supply chain organisation, has partnered with the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) that will go a long way to enhance countrywide delivery capabilities for all sizes of businesses.
The integration, which was unveiled by ONDC in a statement, is viewed as a strategic move by the network to grow logistics services at an accelerated pace. Ekart’s large delivery network, cutting-edge fulfillment tech, and industry-agnostic operational experience are expected to deliver increased reliability and coverage to sellers working across various categories like fashion, FMCG, beauty, lifestyle, and direct-to-consumer brands.
Vibhor Jain, acting CEO and COO of ONDC said that this is a significant step towards democratising access to good quality logistics, and Ekart’s large scale and established logistics capabilities bring crucial depth to the network’s logistics infrastructure.
With this tie-up, ONDC sellers will now have direct access to efficient, pan-India delivery services through a single digital interface. The agreement is expected to reduce order fulfillment complexities, enhance service levels, and facilitate an inclusive e-commerce model—especially for MSMEs.
Mani Bhushan, Chief Business Officer at Ekart, emphasised the company’s mission-aligned approach, stating that with their national presence and deep logistics expertise, Ekart is committed to driving access and operational excellence. He added that through their association with ONDC, they’re focused on unlocking growth opportunities for businesses across India.”
The collaboration reflects an increasing effort to create a more inclusive and efficient digital commerce ecosystem, building strong last-mile connectivity and levelling the playing field for small players throughout the nation.
