In a move to strengthen its product offerings for the digital printing industry, MIMAKI INDIA (MKIPL) has entered into two very strategic tie-ups. Vinod Krishnamurthy, MD, Mimaki is very upbeat of the increased market reach that the tie-ups would provide.
Under the first tie-up Mimaki joins hands with Texfab the leading loop steamer manufacturer from India. “Texfab has the experience, knowledge and the right set-up to produce quality solutions as required by Indian customers for large volume digital printing set-up,” says Vinod. He adds that digital printers need volume steaming and custom options which Texfab would provide. Under the agreement Texfab will provide all loop steamers as OEM to Mimaki to market to companies requiring steaming solutions irrespective of the brand they invest in. Texfab will also look at producing other auxiliaries for Mimaki if required.
For Mukesh Pachauri, CMD, Texfab the understanding with Mimaki is an opportunity to tap bigger markets with deeper penetration. “Mimaki has maximum installations in India and is the most focused digital printing company for textile and this will bring value to Texfab also to its product group,” says Mukesh.
We are looking to provide complete solutions to the digital printing industry and our association with Texfab and Setema will provide a thrust in that direction,” – Vinod Krishnamurthy MD, Mimaki
The second tie-up will bring into the Indian market pre- and post-treatment facilities for digital printing produced by UK based SETeMa, a leading producer of coating, steaming and washing line of products for digital printers. “SETeMa has wide range of modular products and for compact and quality set-up they are the ideal partners,” says Vinod. To build the confidence of customers Mimaki has even invested with SETeMa to bring some of their products to India.
The ISO 14001 certified company, Mimaki would be present with their latest innovations the I-Fix heat fixation unit, the Porta-Pad roll-to-roll padding unit and the Porta-Wash roll-to-roll modular washing unit, at the ITMA show.
