Taads Sourcing & Services, a Delhi-based buying house is planning to launch its own women’s wear brand for the Japanese and Indian market. The company is already working on its collection and is looking to launch the same in October this year at a fair in Japan. The 1½ years old buying house is working with good brands in the US, Europe and Japan. Raman Dutta, Director of Taads has vast experience in the garment industry, having worked for many export and buying houses before setting up his own buying office.

Raman shares that his company has an edge in the way it presents designs, as it uses indigenous software which offers fitting on live models and satisfies the buyers’ right from sampling stage. “Our industry can grow if it improves its way of design presentation as it really matters to the buyers. As far as our buying house is concerned, we have done business of US $ 14 million in the first year and are expecting business of at least US $ 18 million in the current fiscal. As I have worked with most of the top brands across the world, our good relations with them will help us grow,” says Raman. The company having a team of 24 people is working with 16 vendors and most of them are from DelhiNCR; scarves and accessories are being sourced from Varanasi and Farrukhabad.
