To showcase its ongoing sustainability work, Calik Denim is launching a new eco-denim line, “Botanical Sense.” The collection is aimed mostly at the North European markets, incorporating 20 natural denims made from organic cotton, recycled cotton, linen, paper yarn, etc. and is available in stretch, superstretch, comfort stretch and rigid articles. Considering that the dye is either natural indigo or approved by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and the finishes use the recent less-water technology, the entire production process in Malatya is eco-friendly. The R&D centre is working on other projects including vegetable dyes, energy-saving finishes and reducing water use in production.
