India’s Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) in association with the International Labor Organization (ILO) has framed a manual for Indian apparel exporters. The idea behind this is to foster a better understanding of potential good practices in the apparel supply chain.
The AEPC developed a user-friendly good practices manual for small, medium and large firms after considering feasibility of bringing these norms in Indian units. Current practices in apparel factories in clusters like Tirupur, Jaipur, Delhi-NCR, Ludhiana, Bangalore and Chennai were also studied.
