In order to launch specialist executive programmes targeted at improving the abilities of mid-level retail managers as well as leadership acumen at the CXO level, the Retailers Association of India (RAI) and the NMIMS School of Business Management have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
With this Memorandum of Understanding, RAI and NMIMS are forming a strategic collaboration with the goal of promoting professional development and excellence in the retail sector. This initiative aims to support the competitiveness and innovation of retail firms throughout India by providing mid-level managers with the skills and resources they need to thrive.
The Executive Programmes aim to improve managers’ competence in key areas like conflict resolution, high-performance team building, personal and managerial excellence, and dynamic leadership. The programs are slated to take place at the NMIMS campus in Mumbai or other specified locations. They will use a mix of interactive seminars, case studies, and practical exercises to provide participants real-world experience learning.
Participants in this program will gain advanced managerial skills that are specifically designed to meet the needs of mid-level retail managers. Goal-setting, effective delegation, motivation, team management, and leadership in dynamic business contexts will all be prioritised.
The CEO of the Retailers Association of India (RAI), Kumar Rajagopalan, underlined the importance of this partnership by saying, “This programme is about skill enhancement, and equipping our managers with the capabilities required to thrive in today’s complex retail landscape. We are excited to witness the transformative impact this programme will have on our members and their businesses.”
Chittaranjan Bhattacharjee, Director of NMIMS, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to join hands with RAI in delivering this programme. We believe this initiative will empower participants to take on greater challenges and responsibilities within their organisations, ultimately contributing to their professional growth and the success of the industry.”
