Ludhiana’s leading company Sportking India Ltd. has announced its results for the second quarter and six months ended 30 September 2021.
For the second quarter, the company reported growth of 61 per cent as its sale was Rs. 5,240.04 million compared to Rs. 3,209.26 million a year ago.
Its revenue was Rs. 5,337.9 million compared to Rs. 3,278.92 million a year ago. Net income was Rs.1,101.66 million compared to Rs. 95.12 million a year ago.
For the six months, sale was Rs. 9,735.92 million compared to Rs. 5,415.64 million a year ago. Revenue was Rs. 9,855.98 million compared to Rs. 5,508.19 million a year ago and net income was Rs.1,891.6 million compared to Rs. 98.7 million a year ago.
It is also worth mentioning here that the company is investing in clean energy as the company will install rooftop solar power project of about 20 MW capacity.
The Board of Directors of company at their meeting discussed and approved the installation project at their existing factory units for captive consumption and same is likely to be implemented in 6-8 months.
The Board has also discussed the progress of the implementation of additional 15 per cent capacity (40,800 spindles) for production of textile yarns, which is as per schedule.
