Motivation is key to garment manufacturing industry and some of the leading apparel export houses are putting good efforts in this regard.
Indore-based Pratibha Syntex, one of the most sustainable apparel manufacturers of India, has supported its 28 employees by gifting them houses.
14 of these 28 employees are women, who have been awarded houses in TDS Pride and TDS city situated in Pithampur near Sagore Kuti. All these employees used to work on shop floors across various departments.
Notably, the company took this noble stepon the birth centenary of Chhogmal Chaudhary (father of S K Chaudhary, Chairman of the company).
It is pertinent to mention here that almost three years ago the company had surveyed its employees, asking about their dream. And it came out of that survey that many employees scripted a dream of owning a house.
Following this, Shreyaskar Chaudhary, MD of the company promised to gift houses to employees in 2021. True to its words, the company has fulfilled the dream of its 28 employees by presenting them houses.
In a simple event, recently Sushma Chaudhary, mother of Shreyaskar Chaudhary, handed over the keys to these employees.
Interestingly, the houses have been gifted to employees whose CTC is equal to or below than Rs. 25,000 and should have completed 7 years at workplace. For male employees, attendance was mandatory for 270 days in a year, while for female the same was 260 days per year.
Another condition was that the beneficiary employee and his/her spouse should not have owned a house in their name. Additionally, any such employee should not have any criminal record in the company or outside. Besides, they should bein the age group between 25 and 45 years.

The total cost of the house will be borne by the company;moreover, the beneficiaries would be eligible to get Rs 2.67 subsidy provided under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Rajesh Prasad Dwivedi, one of these 28 employees, said that I always wanted to own a home and my dream has been fulfilled by company management. I am thankful to the management for this invaluable gift.
“We engage with our employees not only professionally but emotionally. It is my moral duty to fulfil their dreams as much I can,” said SK Chaudhary adding that my workforce is my pride.
Apart from this, 65 scholarships were presented to children of employees who excelled inboard and college examination. 12 employees have presented a long service award as a token of appreciation for completing 20 long years in the company.
Working with many top global brands and retailers, Pratibha Syntex has taken plenty of initiatives regarding sustainability.
