Santosh Gangwar, Minister of State (independent charge) for Ministry of Textiles has announced that Agra will have an apparel manufacturing park spread over 15 acres. The bids will be floated soon for this same. A delegation of industrialists has also demanded that ATDC should be set up in Agra on the lines of Hathras. Hathras has emerged as a hub of apparel industry after the development of training centre. The minister added that textile manufacturing units in Agra can take advantage of the Centre’s ISDS (integrated skill development schemes) and TUF (technology up gradation) schemes to enhance their production. He has invited the delegation for a meeting next week in Delhi to the take the talks ahead.
