Bihar’s Industry Minister Shahnawaz Hussain has again said that the Government is working on the textile policy and it will be released soon.
Addressing an event of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), he said that Bihar’s greatest strength is its skilled workers, who work all over the country.
He also said that where there are workers, there are factories, and therefore, the Government is planning to develop more factories in the state for them to work.
While substantiating that the textile sector in Bihar has immense potential, the Minister said “Due to the availability of skilled workforce, industrialists from other states wish to invest in Bihar. Soon, we will see investment in the state.”
It is pertinent to mention here that almost 10 months ago, Shahnawaz Hussain had announced that Bihar will soon announce textile and leather policy.
The Minister had also travelled across India to attract the investors, from textile industry,to invest in Bihar;however, there hasn’t been any tangible development on the ground level so far.
Notably, there is not even a big or export-oriented garment manufacturing facility in the state.
