The Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) organised an awareness webinar on ‘Cyber security & proactive measures in the age of pandemic’.
Ram Suresh Yadav, SP, Economic Offence Wing (EOW), Meerut Sector and Rakshit Tandon, Cyber Security Expert as key guest faculties shared tips on the said topic.
Ram Suresh Yadav mentioned about necessary precautionary measures for cyber security like protect networks against external and internal attack, manage the network primer, filter out unauthorised access, malicious contents, monitor and test security controls.
He also stressed on the need to establish a monitoring strategy and produce supporting policies, continuously monitor all IT system and networks in work place and analyse logs for unusual activity.
Rakshit suggested that using public Wi-Fi or an unsecured internet connection could leave data vulnerable to eavesdroppers and hackers.
He emphasised on always using a wireless connection with security, and elaborated on important issues and cyber security proactive measures like threats during pandemic, introduction to cyber-crimes, how to protect digital identity, social media threats and securities, digital transactions and securities, business email securities and threats, cyber-crime redressed and cyber laws.
