During lockdown and pandemic, exporters are facing challenges like liquidity crunch, cancellation of orders and non-receipt of payments, payment of wages, interest payments, rentals, miscellaneous expenditure and much more.
Delayed refund of GST and various other compliances concerning GST have further increased the problems of these exporters.
Keeping all this in mind, Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) organised a webinar in which experts like Dheeraj Rastogi, Joint Secretary, GST Network and CA Manoj Goyal of RHMS & Company suggested solutions.
Dheeraj highlighted that change in dates for filing has been done to benefit the exporting community in these tough times of COVID-19. He also clarified the decision taken by the Government with regard to HSN codes and value of exports to domestic and international markets.
Manoj shared a detailed presentation that provided information on various amendments, which have been made by the GST Council during the past one month to facilitate exporters.
He highlighted issues like zero-rated supply of goods, 1.5 times value clause, GST 2A filing, the requirement of HS codes, provisions in case of advance received and use of Aadhar for new businesses and many more.
RK Passi, Chairman and RK Malhotra, Vice Chairman, EPCH, Naresh Bothra of Bothra International, Jodhpur, KL Ramesh of Vijay Lakshmi Agarbathi works, Bangalore and RK Verma, ED – EPCH also shared their observations on recent changes in GST.
