India ITME Society, the four-decade-old non-profit apex industry body, and India Post organised Textile Philately & Interactive Programme with Roop Rashi Mahapatra, Textile Commissioner.
The programme was organised at the iconic heritage G.P.O. building.
Swati Pandey, Postmaster General, India Post, enthusiastically spoke about her association with India ITME Society since the 40th year programme. Her scintillating presentation articulating the golden history of Indian culture and textiles encaptured in the postal stamps was unique and valuable, yet least known to many.
Avinash Mayekar, MD & CEO Suvin made a presentation on “Roadmap for Ecosystem development of Textile Engineering Industry in India.”
The captivating presentation by the Textile Commissioner Roop Rashi Mahapatra was the highlight of the programme. Her musings on NURTURE THE FUTURE charged the students by the quizzes and elucidated them on the in-depth knowledge of the textile industry.
This initiative not only facilitated an exposure to textile policy and workings of the Government, but also set forth an opportunity for students to interact with Roop Rashi Mahapatra.
