Jagadish Naraindas Hinduja, MD of Gokaldas Images, passed away today. He was 77.
He was not keeping well since last few months.
Jagadish Hinduja, who is succeeded by his wife Pushpa Hinduja and two sons Sumir and Munish, was one of the most respected persons in Indian apparel industry. He was known for his honest opinion and his concern for the growth of apparel industry.
Under his leadership, Gokaldas Images grew well and it was only last year that the company had invested in a new facility in Telangana.
“It is a devastating news… he was such a beautiful soul and a doyen of our industry, a visionary who was so well versed with every nuance of our trade. He was a responsible entrepreneur and trade has lost one of its pillars. We will miss him. Our heartfelt condolences to the entire Hinduja parivar,” said Dr. A Sakthivel, President, Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) and ex-President of Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC).
Team Apparel Resources often had the opportunity to discuss industry-related issues with him and he always supported with his visionary thinking and approach. We pray to god to allow this noble soul to rest in eternal peace at his lotus feet.
