To monitor production and supply of medical textiles, Indian textiles ministry has set up an emergency control room, which will monitor production and supply of medical textiles like N-95 mask, body coveralls and meltblown fabrics. All these products are must to overcome COVID-19 pandemic.
P.K. Kataria, Special Secretary will supervise this emergency control office, while Nihar Ranjan Dash, Joint Secretary; H.K. Nanda, Director; Balram Kumar, Director; Pankaj Kumar Singh, Dy. Secretary and Padmapani Bora, Dy. Secretary are also part of this control room.
Molay Chandan Chakravarthy, Textile Commissioner, Mumbai; Ranjit Ranjan Okhandiar, Member Secretary, Central Silk Board, Bangalore and Ajit B. Chavan, Secretary, Textile Committee, Mumbai have also been appointed to take stock of the situation from ground level.
