Freudenberg Performance Materials Apparel (Freudenberg Apparel) will showcase its eco-friendly interlinings, canvas, thermal insulations, and linings from the House of Sustainability at the Apparel Sourcing Week 2024, with a focus on fashion, sportswear, and shirts. The event, which is crucial for the fashion industry and represents the changing Indian clothing sourcing scene, will be held in Bangalore on August 28 and 29. Visitors are invited to Freudenberg Apparel’s exhibit B10.
With the RCY 99xx series, Freudenberg Apparel will present the most recent advancements in shirt interlining technology, providing weights ranging from 30 g/m2 to 155 g/m2. This series is made for modern fabrics that preserve the natural shape, feel, and texture of the fabric while infusing the shirt design with a dash of originality. Furthermore, the RCY 39xx series—which weighs between 70 and 167 g/m2—will be emphasised for having a hand feel that is similar to that of classic cotton interlining. Its rPET construction guarantees longevity and clear, low-temperature fusing.
The MTW line of bi-elastic twill interlinings, which are renowned for their strong bond, toughness, and excellent form retention even after numerous washes, will be showcased in the fashion section. These qualities add to the robustness and lifespan of clothing and make them perfect for machine-washable jackets. With up to 30% stretch adaptability, the GBE series will showcase its exceptional bonding and elasticity, making it ideal for hydro-expansion fabrics like spandex and CV.
An extensive selection of interlinings from Freudenberg Apparel’s Active Collection, intended for active sportswear, will be on display. Highlights include rTPE base content interlinings, which are ideal for fabrics ranging from lightweight to heavy and come in a weight range of 40-90 g/m². These fabrics are commonly found in sports bras, leggings, and casual clothing. Additionally, Freudenberg Apparel will showcase film bonding solutions, which highlight robust shear bonds that do away with the necessity for stitching, for seamless applications in bras, briefs, and t-shirts. Freudenberg’s dedication to sustainability is reflected in the range of sustainable thermal insulations and linings that will be showcased in the outdoor sportswear area. These include rPET, biodegradable thermal insulations, and rPET linings.
The company’s presence at Apparel Sourcing Week 2024 demonstrates its commitment to the Indian market and the expanding South Asian clothing manufacturing industry. Freudenberg Apparel has demonstrated its commitment to meeting client demands by investing in increasing its production capacity in India, following 26 years of successful operations. With initial projects now underway and more expansion plans in development, new facilities will enable increased variety in product offers while increasing production capacity.
