Italian textile machinery producer Santex Rimar Group is launching an event-cum-forum: ‘Future Textile Road – The Future of The New Textile Industry: A Dialogue Between Xinjiang, China and Europe’. This forum retraces the Silk Road to open a new dialogue between the Asian continent and the Mediterranean Sea. It’s worth mentioning here that the Silk Road is an ancient network of trade routes that is meant for ‘centuries central to cultural interaction’ between Asia and the West, stretching from the Korean Peninsula and Japan through the Mediterranean Sea.
To discuss the future of textile production on the infamous Silk Road, the event will take place from 16 – 18 May this year in Urumqi, Xingjiang, with a number of international textile businesses set to discuss and explore the growth of the cutting edge textile industry from Xinjiang through the new Silk routes. Speakers will focus on textile business, garments and home textiles industries and sustainable developments in the industry.
