
Apparel Resources Publishing (ARP), the publishing wing of Apparel Resources, released the long sought-after book on ‘Industrial Engineering in Apparel Manufacturing’ at the ongoing Garment Technology Expo (GTE) 2018 at NSIC Complex, Okhla (New Delhi), India.
The launch ceremony took place in the presence of international and national glitterati like Dr. Mike Fralix, President & CEO TC2, USA; Mr. HKL Magu, Chairman, AEPC (Apparel Export Promotion Council); Mr. Dietrich Eickhoff, Chairman and Mr. Bernd Bauer, Sales Manager, Duerkopp Adler; Mr. Samath Fernando, CIO, Hirdaramani Group, Sri Lanka; Dr. Rajesh Bheda, RBC Consulting; and Dr. Prabir Jana, Professor, NIFT Delhi, who is also the co-author of the book.
While congratulating the authors, Dr. Prabir Jana, Dr. Manoj Tiwari and Mr. Deepak Mohindra, the publisher of the book, Mike went down the memory lane, recalling the years he spent serving the industry as an ‘Industrial Engineer’ in his early career and stressing that there is no alternative than to have IEs in every garment manufacturing setup and the newly launched book will be a handy guideline for them.

Mr. Magu also appreciated the effort and complimented both the authors and the publisher, for their determination in supporting the industry by bringing out such a focused and targeted book. He dwelled on the need for such books if the industry has to match the international standards and be price-competitive in a global environment which is getting tougher day-by-day.
Mr. Mohindra, who is also the Editor-in-Chief of StitchWorld magazine assured his commitment and shared that many more books are in the pipeline, including small and handy booklets addressing production and processes’ needs of the industry.
