The emergence of Hong Kong as an important destination for marketing through the medium of trade fairs gave the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) an opportunity to put India on the world map of handicrafts.
38 Indian handicrafts(men) showcased their work at Hong Kong Gifts and Premium Fair last month.
Rajesh Kumar Pippal, Vice Consulate, O/o of Consulate General of India in Hong Kong inaugurated the Indian Pavilion and interacted with the participants. Rajesh further, helped India’s representatives who were having trouble with online visa and made sure that they (handicraft exporters) reach Hong Kong in time to participate in the event.
The fair, organised at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, is the biggest of its kind and is known as the best platform for generating new business opportunities for craftsmen. The Indian handicrafts were satisfied with the amount of interest visitors showed towards their pavilion.
