Sanjay K Jain, Chairman, CITI cited that the contest will invite entries from innovators with new concepts that have been developed for the best design, method, process, product and cost reduction in any section from fabric to the garment.
He further stated that CITI Young Entrepreneurs Group (YEG) under the guidance of Prashant Mohota, has been assigned with the task of organising InnoTex.
It is important to add here that, YEG, an integral part of CITI, was established for nurturing young minds/talent of the Textiles & Clothing Industry into capable leaders of the future.
Notably, the North India Textile Research Association also known as NITRA will act as the knowledge partner of the upcoming event. “Having NITRA’s expertise on board will aid in the proper evaluation of the applications and offer guidance to the participants,” the Chairman further added.
The Chairman also marked out that how the Innovation Contests are now necessary for any industry more particularly for the textiles manufacturing sector, that not just enhances the standard of the industry but also increases the overall competitiveness to compete at the international level.
The InnoTex 2018 will be launched as a part of the association’s 16th-anniversary celebrations and all the applications will be received online on CITI’s website.
Additionally, CITI YEG’s Chairman Prashant Mohota elucidated that the winners of the event will be given cash-prize along with recognition in front of the entire textile and clothing industry.
