Industry executives, channel partners, academic leaders, and dignitaries gathered for INVIYA® (Indorama)’s customer meet, CONVERGE’24, for an evening of thought-provoking conversations and festivities. The event, which took place in Tirupur, highlighted the Group’s history, mission, and steadfast dedication to sustainability, innovation, and excellence.
Shalendra Vasudeva, Chief Marketing Officer, gave an overview of the spandex business, emphasising important trends and areas for expansion. A summary of Indorama Group’s achievements and future objectives was given by G. Venkatesh, Group Director (Textiles & Corporate Development), Indorama Corporation. Chief Executive Officer Sandeep Shelke talked about INVIYA®’s exciting journey and its innovative features.
Among the guest speakers were Dr. G. Thilagavathi, Professor and Head of Textile Technology at PSG College of Technology, who discussed how sustainability initiatives are influencing the textile industry, and P. Boobalan, Founder & CEO of Texcoms Worldwide, who discussed the prospects for India’s textile sector over the next ten years.
Dr. A. Sakthivel, the chief guest, underlined the value of spandex in the clothing industry and pointed out prospects for future expansion. In order to keep up with new global trends and capitalise on Tirupur’s legacy, he promoted inclusivity and the expansion of MMF fibres in Tirupur.
