In order to honour and commend member companies for their exceptional export performance in FY 2023–2024, MATEXIL, the Manmade and Technical Textiles Export Promotion Council (formerly SRTEPC) successfully held its Annual Export Award Function in Mumbai. With almost 50 awards given out in several categories of manufactured fibre textiles, the textile event honoured excellence in export.
As the Chief Guest, the Union Minister of Textiles, Giriraj Singh, presented the prizes to the awardees. Senior Government representatives and prominent figures from the textile sector attended the event.
The launch of MATEXIL’s recently created website and trade dashboard, which was created to offer thorough trade insights on technical textiles and manmade fibre, was a major event highlight. Giriraj Singh praised MATEXIL and its Chairman, Bhadresh Dodhia, for this innovative project. He pointed out that the new dashboard would close an existing information gap and underlined the critical role that accurate and tailored textile data play in policymaking. He also reaffirmed the Government’s determination to increase textile exports and meet the challenging goal of exporting US $ 100 billion by 2030.
MATEXIL Chairman Bhadresh Dodhia emphasised the industry’s ability to bounce back from global setbacks. He declared that the industry had experienced positive growth of more than 6 per cent and credited the exporters’ diligence and the Government’s steadfast support for this achievement. He also thanked the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, for his inspiring leadership and unwavering support of the sector.
