SHIMA SEIKI MFG. LTD., the leading flat knitting machine manufacturer, will showcase diverse line-up of its latest computerized flat knitting machines at FEBRATEX’2016 next month. The event will be held from August 9 to August 12 in Brazil.
The highlight of SHIMA SEIKI’s exhibit at last year’s ITMA show in Milan, the flagship MACH2XS series, featuring the company’s original slide needle on four needle beds and a new spring-type sinker system for significantly improved performance in WHOLEGARMENT knitting, will be displayed at the show.
The event will also mark the display of computerized flat knitting machine SRY123LP, featuring a pair of loop presser beds mounted above a conventional V-shaped needle bed. It is also capable of producing novel knitwear with unique woven-like texture as well as technical textiles. The new compact SWG-N2 series WHOLEGARMENT knitting machine offers a wide variety of production options as well as the capability for producing industrial textiles.
The new SVR workhorse series resets the industry benchmark once again for shaping machines in the tradition of SHIMA SEIKI’s legendary SES and SSG machines. Fully automatic glove knitting machines SFG and SFG-I will round off the display.

The three- day event will witness the demonstrations on SHIMA SEIKI’s SDS-ONE APEX3 3D design system. APEX3 integrates knit production from yarn development, product planning and design to machine programming, production into one flawless and efficient workflow. The major attraction is its capability to improve on the planning process with virtual sampling. Photo-realistic simulation capability minimizes the need for sample-making and subsequently reducing time, material and cost from the sampling process.
