The Blenders Pride Fashion Tour collaborated with ace Indian designer Tarun Tahiliani to spearhead the first-ever digital premiere and celebrate his 25 years in the industry.
Notably, it has been collaborating with Indian designers and promoting the Indian aesthetic through conventional runway shows to fashion festivals.
The evolution of its formats and moving with the times has led to this digital collaboration wherein Tahiliani showcased ‘INFINITE’, My Identity, My Pride.
The show encompassed of various themes involving pride, modernity, consciousness as aesthetic entities along with exploring the prospect of ‘INFINITE’ possibilities in one’s life.
The one-of-a-kind hybrid format show had impactful storytelling through an on-ground set-up to back the glitz and glamour of fashion.
Weaving a seamless story around ‘My Identity, My Pride’, Tarun Tahiliani said, “There is nothing more important than one’s identity, an expression that defines you as being distinct from the world. This collaboration is a celebration of my journey and the myriad and varied influences that have inspired its course over the years. I take immense pride in expressing who I am and where I stand today, and in my association with Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2020, because it gives me the opportunity to celebrate my identity with pride.”
A larger than life set was designed by Tarun himself to pay ode to his inspirations, the studio’s past and its evolution into the future, and the wheel of life.
25 muses were dressed in stunning outfits to commemorate the designer, creating an immersive experience complete with modern Indian garbs fully accessorised with modern-day versions of chotis, bindis and much more to add historical opulence to a more contemporary whim.
