India International Garment Fair has entered its 30th year in 2018 and over the years the international garment fair has become somewhat of a one-stop shop for everything that an Indian garment exporter can offer. It has become a place where an ever-growing list of manufacturers come to exhibit their portfolio of work and Day 2 at the fair was no exception.
However, in an effort to offer a mix of everything to every shopper, there is an opportunity lost for more minimal options, especially for global buyers. As most of the exporters presenting at the fair are from Jaipur, Rajasthan, the details in focus are naturally very native to their own aesthetic.
A very boho atmosphere was seen across the board with details like textural embroidery done by both hand and via machines as well as lacy tie-ups everywhere. While we are not sure how great this might be for international buyers, but it would not be wrong to say that the overall vibe was extremely Indian.
