Adapting to the new normal, India’s ace fashion designer Tarun Tahiliani rolled out India’s first ever, full-length digital fashion show to unveil his Autumn/Winter 2020 collection, ‘Pieces of You’, on Thursday evening.
Shot at his studio and factory in Gurugram, the show went live on Instagram and presented the designer’s bridal and festivewear collection.
More than 8,000 viewers logged in from across the globe to watch the 25-minute long online show.
Tarun offered a plethora of options for the millennial bride – right from exquisite concept saris and stunning statement brocade lehengas, to gorgeous capes and blouses andstriking gowns.
The designer didn’t settle for the traditional red and gold colours for the bridal collection; rather, he experimented with heartwarming hues – pastels, whites, creams, and even blacks among others.
“I’ve showcased 80 pieces from the A/W 2020 ‘Pieces of You’ collection, with a lot of vibrant colours. The outfits are completely ‘non-crush’ as they feature perma pleating in the [Greek] Fortuny Style,” shared Tarun.
The brand will soon put out simpler pieces that are more apt for ‘pandemic-living’, the designer added.
