3D is making its strong footprints in the global fashion industry, especially since the pandemic hit the world, and India seems to be not an exception.
Considering that Indian garment industry has true potential for 3D design and development, AAIENA – a home-grown fashion technology start-up – has launched ‘CREATIN’ which is a service that provides automatic conversion of any 2D apparel into its 3D form, in a short span of time.
According to what Sakshi Chhapolia, Founder of AAIENA, a part of Sankshit Group, told Apparel Resources, CREATIN requires just two photos – front and side views – of an apparel item which are then analysed through AI and AR technology where it works on a multiple-step process to detect edge-to-edge geometrical pattern of the apparel’s 2D form.
“Once the detection is complete, our system converts the given apparel into 3D form, which is rendered in different sizes and body shapes,” informed Sakshi, adding, “Not just this, with the help of our design team’s expertise coupled with cutting-edge software technology, even the minute patterns can be placed to get converted into 3D form.”
According to AAIENA, the system that it has introduced consumes much less time in conversion than what other companies claim in the market. Moreover, CREATIN gives quick, accurate and on-point results.
“CREATIN is primarily a cost-effective option for any apparel brand which wants to drive the best opportunity to add more value to their company. We are providing 98 per cent of the fitting accuracy of the converted 3D apparel…,” shared Sakshi who aims to tap fashion-related companies and institutions that includes e-commerce, fashion house/brands and designing institutes, etc.
CREATIN team is also planning to come up with a new platform for all the underprivileged talented designers who want to create and showcase their designs as virtual fashion shows in order to tap their target consumers.
