Racing Sewing Machine Company from Taiwan was present at the GTE fair, through their sole agent in India, HCA. Established in the 1980’s, Racing has always developed unique products for sewing high quality garments like metering, puller, cutting and feeding attachments for all kinds of sewing machines. “Taiwan is known for its semi-conductors and Racing utilizes the same advantage by incorporating high-quality semi-conductors in all its computerized products, keeping the product high on quality but effective on the price,” says Jeff Lue, Customer Service Manager, representing the company at the fair. While 80% of its products are manufactured in Taiwan, the remaining 20% are manufactured in various countries of Europe
Although not showcasing any new development for the Indian market, Racing has received a good response at the fair for its productivity enhancement tools. “The kind of products manufactured by our company is meant for process optimization and quality improvement, and if the same is not achieved through our products, there is no reason for our existence,” comments Jeff. “People now come to us with complete realization of the quality and precision offered by Racing,” he added.
The most successfully running product from the company is the MC M8 series versatile tension type computerized metering device, for supplying a pre-determined length of material generally an elastic material to the needle under an elasticized state. The series of metering devices from Racing can be attached to a sewing machine from any brand with any feed system. “This product is used by lingerie manufacturers like Victoria’s Secret and Triumph, clearly indicating the quality of our devices,” avers Jeff. The computerized panel of the machine can store up to 26 programmes while offering a feed-range per stitch of 0.4 to 4 mm and maximum feeding width of 64 mm.
