To increase its customer base in the US, UK, and Europe, the global circular economy company Reconomy has appointed Rakhshan Zahid, a former Amazon executive, as the new CEO of its Re-use division.
Advanced Supply Chain and ReBound, which offer cutting-edge platforms and circular logistics through technology-driven supply chain, logistics, and fulfilment solutions, are included in the Reconomy Re-use division.
With ten years of experience at Amazon, Zahid holds a number of leadership positions in the fashion, groceries, and marketplace divisions before taking charge of the European fashion accessories sector.
She is reportedly well-positioned to oversee Reconomy’s Re-use business due to her history of driving strategic development and operational enhancements as well as her dedication to fostering inclusive workplaces.
Claire Webb, who will continue to serve as executive chair of the firm during this transition, is replaced by Zahid. Webb oversaw Advanced Supply Chain’s acquisition by Reconomy in 2021 while serving as its managing director and CEO for five years prior. The company accomplished important milestones in market expansion and operational integration under her direction.
