Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands Limited (ABLBL), part of the Aditya Birla Group, has appointed Jacob John as Chief Executive Officer – Emerging Business. In his new role, he will oversee the growth, innovation and development of emerging categories and premium lifestyle offerings across the company’s expanding brand portfolio.
John previously served for more than five years as President – Premium Brands at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. (ABFRL), where he played a central role in expanding and consolidating the group’s premium fashion labels. His leadership strengthened performance across marquee brands and significantly enhanced their market visibility in an increasingly competitive segment.
Before joining ABFRL, he was CEO and Managing Director at Modenik Lifestyle Pvt Ltd, an Advent International company. There, he led the transformation of the innerwear and athleisure business and built a strong footprint in the mass-premium segment. His earlier experience includes serving as Deputy CEO – Lifestyle Department Stores at the Landmark Group, where he contributed to business expansion, improved customer engagement and advanced omni-channel retail initiatives.
John also spent more than eight years with Madura Fashion & Lifestyle under the Aditya Birla Group, holding senior leadership positions such as Chief Operating Officer and Brand Director for Louis Philippe. During that period, he drove category expansion, brand rejuvenation and customer insight-led strategies, strengthening his reputation as a leader with deep expertise in premium and lifestyle retail.
