Avenue Supermarts Ltd, which operates the D-Mart chain of hypermarkets, has raised Rs 300 crore through the issuance of commercial papers, according to a regulatory filing by the company.
The commercial papers, proposed to be listed on the BSE, were allotted on September 8, and carry a tenure of 90 days. The instruments are scheduled to mature on December 7, 2026.
According to the filing, the commercial papers carry a coupon rate of 6.40%, with both the principal and coupon payable on the date of maturity.
The latest fundraise comes after Avenue Supermarts last month approved an investment of up to Rs 500 crore.
Avenue Supermarts, promoted by Radhakishan Damani and his family, operates more than 500 D-Mart stores across India.
The retailer sells a range of basic home and personal products and has a presence across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, the National Capital Region, Tamil Nadu, Punjab and Rajasthan.
