Ethnicwear brand Biba has added another interesting designer collaboration to its portfolio by announcing a collection with the renowned and award-winning designer Anju Modi.
Anju Modi, the Bajirao Mastani and Ram Leela fame costume designer, has designed an exquisite festive collection, which will be available at select Biba stores and is smartly priced, in the range between Rs. 5,995 and Rs. 29,950.
Speaking on the association, Siddharath Bindra, MD, Biba, said, “It’s an honour to partner with Anju Modi and come up with an occasionwear collection for our customers this festive season.”
He added “Every year Biba works on offering something new and stylish and with this partnership we have her unique style married with Biba’s aesthetics beautifully. It is our endeavour to make this designer range available to a larger audience through our network and look forward to a great response from our patrons.”
Over the last few years, Biba has been adding layers to its portfolio – whether it’s adding new verticals like the Biba Jewelry and Biba Girls or tying up with designers to offer something new and exciting to its customer base.
The brand is also coming up with a range of footwear and bags to make it a one-stop shop for everything a woman would want to pair up with her ethnic attire.
‘Biba by Anju Modi’ is going to be premium collection designed to tap the niche premium ethnicwear segment in the country. The collection is a fine amalgamation of Anju Modi’s signature design sensibility and Biba’s ethnic brand lineage, which is ideal for the upcoming festive season.
The range comprises metallic and floral prints, intricate hand embroidery and fine zari work on pure fine fabrics like silk, chanderi, velvet and modal.
Speaking on the association, Anju Modi said, “Working with Biba has been great, as this association has allowed me to showcase my designs across the massive retail network of the brand. Biba enjoys a great geographical spread and this partnership allows many more people to experience my designs and I am really excited and looking forward to a fruitful and a meaningful association going forward.”
Biba has been on an exciting brand journey and growth since it came into existence nearly 3 decades back, starting from tying with designers such as Rohit Bal, Manish Arora and launching a Indie Mickey range earlier this year, by continuously adding new verticals, expanding and strengthening its position in all parts of the country to emerge as one of the most successful ethnic brands in the country.
