Eric Mazillier, General Manager of Decathlon Romania, has said that the company registered a turnover of € 110 million in the year 2015, up around 60 per cent against 2014.
It has also been observed that the prices of the products retailed by Decathlon have plummeted by around 20 per cent. The retailer has managed to slash prices as it has its own Research & Development centres where engineers create private-level products, which are then manufactured by associates in various countries.
Recently only, the company opened a 35,000 sq. ft.-store in Singapore. Over 95,000 apparel, sports equipment and footwear products are available at the store. The products cover more than 50 types of sports and will be sold under Decathlon’s 20 in-house labels.
