Q-commerce platform Instamart has appointed Gautam Swaroop as its new Chief Business Officer (CBO).
Swaroop will oversee Instamart’s commercial operations in his new role. His responsibilities will include driving customer growth, managing product categories, strengthening brand partnerships, and leading business expansion initiatives.
Swaroop brings over two decades of leadership experience across consulting, pharmaceuticals, hospitality, and technology. He began his career at McKinsey & Company, where he served as Associate Principal for more than 10 years.
He later spent over 11 years at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, where he held various senior leadership roles across strategic planning, business development, portfolio management, and international business operations.
Most recently, at OYO, he served as CEO, OYO China, before taking over as CEO – International Hotels & Homes, leading the company’s international hotel business.

The appointment comes as part of a broader expansion of Instamart’s leadership team. The company has also recently appointed Srikar Adavi as Vice President, Ad Monetisation, and Hardeep Kaur as Associate Vice President, Category (FMCG), among other senior hires.
