The counterfeit market is rampant in India and recently the Delhi Police seized counterfeit Karam safety belts/harnesses in a raid after a complaint was filed by Karam Industries.
The counterfeit products were found in Kamla Nagar market of Delhi and were seized from the accused who were selling fake products under the name of Karam Industries.
The raid resulted in 2 arrests and seizure of over 100 counterfeit products.
“We have a ‘zero tolerance policy’ against duplicacy of Karam Products. We would not allow anyone to play with human lives and safety and we will continue taking strict action against such manufacturers or suppliers of counterfeit safety products,” said Hemant Sapra, President, Global Marketing at Karam Industries, speaking on how unsafe the counterfeit market can be.
With the help of local authorities, Karam has been able to disrupt the fraudulent activities of such counterfeits who have been selling fake personal protective equipment.
