Entrepreneurs Archana Khosla Burman and Niharika Khosla Sehgal have announced the launch of Zone, an Indian activewear brand created exclusively for children aged four to 14 years.
The new venture aims to address a perceived gap in the children’s apparel market by offering performance-focused clothing designed to support active lifestyles. According to the founders, the brand was developed in response to the limited availability of apparel specifically tailored to the needs of active children.
Archana Khosla Burman, co-founder of Zone, said that the idea for the brand emerged from the challenges parents face in finding clothing that effectively supports children’s movement. She noted that while there are numerous fashion options available, there are relatively few products designed specifically for active youngsters.
Zone’s product range has been designed to combine performance, comfort and durability with style. The brand will utilise lightweight, breathable and stretch-performance fabrics to enable unrestricted movement while maintaining shape retention.
The company is seeking to capitalise on India’s rapidly expanding activewear market and has set its sights on becoming a leading premium activewear brand for children in the country. Co-founder Niharika Khosla Sehgal said the objective was to create apparel that is comfortable, functional and capable of supporting children through a wide range of activities without restricting movement.
According to the company, Burman brings more than two decades of experience working with entrepreneurs, consumer businesses and growth-stage ventures, contributing expertise in strategy, brand development and business expansion.
Sehgal also brings over 20 years of industry experience, with a background in apparel design, sourcing, manufacturing and product development. She will lead the brand’s product vision and innovation initiatives as Zone seeks to establish its presence in the premium children’s activewear segment.
