Across the apparel retail companies, there is movement of senior level professionals.
Joe Kuruvilla, CEO of lifestyle business of Raymond, textile and apparels giant, has decided to step down. He was with the company for eight months and has cited personal reasons for this decision.
The company is in the process to appoint a new CEO; Kuruvilla will do the formalities of seamless handover to Ganeshkumar S. who continues as COO for the Lifestyle Business of the company.
Snapdeal, a leading e-commerce company, has appointed former Walmart executive Saurabh Bansal as its Chief Merchandising Officer.
Saurabh will be responsible for the entire category management, including merchandise and assortment planning. He will also lead the management of the entire seller ecosystem, including seller excellence initiatives.
This is Saurabh’s second stint with Snapdeal. He had spent more than three years (2014-2017) building, growing and managing various categories.
In other development, Shantanu, Senior Director, Marketing and Ecommerce, Uniqlo India has quit the apparel retailer and joined Kapiva as a COO. Kapiva is a modern Ayurvedic nutrition brand.
As per the sources, so far nobody has been appointed in place of Shantanu.
