
Aiming to strengthen its presence in the South Indian market, e-commerce major Myntra has recently roped in the South superstar Samantha Akkineni as its brand ambassador in the region.
The company hopes to cash in on the actress’ immense popularity among the fashion-forward South Indian consumers, in turn looking at a more lucrative customer engagement along with acquiring new customers from the area.
The face of Myntra in the South, Samantha expressed her joy at the latest association with the online retailer, “Fashion has always been an integral part of my life, making this association even more special to me.”
Speaking about the brand’s partnership with the actress, Myntra’s CEO Amar Nagaram commented that this way, the brand hopes to establish a strong connect with the fashion-loving consumers in the South Indian market.
He further added that Samantha’s remarkable popularity among a wide audience across Southern states and “her reach will be crucial in driving deeper customer engagement.”
Earlier in the week, Myntra onboarded Bollywood actress Kiara Advani as its new brand ambassador with an objective to fortify its young customer base across tiers including small cities and non-metros in the country.
